Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (Drones) Course

This course is one of its kinds conducted only at BFC in Maharashtra by DGCA certified RPAS instructors and syllabus is designed as per DGCA guidelines.

The DGCA Licensed course offers:

  • Ground training
  • Simulator flying
  • One on one practical flying
  • Solo flying
  • Instrument flying
  • Exposure to various emergency procedure
Eligibility:
  • Qualification - 10th Pass English Medium
  • Age - 18 years

On completion of the course, the candidate shall be well equipped with the KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS and can take up any of the following activities :
  • Surveillance :
Drones or UAVs can identify security and terrorism-related challenges and pinpoint vulnerable areas that are prone to risks. Drones are the modern-day force multiplier that can enhance the capabilities of security forces to contain terror and to counter the emerging challenges in defence and homeland security. Crowd Monitoring Detect irregular activity and gain in-depth situational awareness.
  • Disaster Management :
Drones aid in disaster response. It can be used in different phases for disaster management as it can help prevent a disaster by accurately mapping the hazard and taking mitigation measures. Post disaster, the management authorities can gain real-time knowledge of the situation and plan search and rescue operations effectively.
  • Forest & Wildlife :
Drones give a bird’s eye view of the forest and help track criminal activity, boost conservation efforts, monitor wildlife and much more.
  • Traffic Monitoring :
Analyzing and controlling traffic movement and responding to emergencies effectively is another advantage of using drones.
  • Enterprise :
Drones have become an integral part of operations such as mapping, surveying, equipment inspection, analyzing difficult-to-monitor areas, project monitoring and precision agriculture activities. The deployment of drones for such operations reduces crew costs by minimizing time-consuming ground observations.
  • Precision Agriculture :
Using drones for agriculture helps to analyze crop growth pattern and inspect crops for diseases quickly thereby preventing damage and wastage of the produce.
  • Construction & Real Estate :
Drones aid the builders to make plans, track the progress and at the same time monitor any issues at the site. It helps to inspect buildings, bridges, rail lines and other infrastructure without scaffolding or booms.
  • Industrial Asset Inspection :
Examining solar farms and detect anomalies with fewer or no personnel is possible with the use of drones.
  • Mining :
Use of drones facilitates aerial surveys and photogrammetry to improve blast optimization.
  • Oil & Gas :
Drones lead to elimination of human intervention for detecting leaks or emissions, spills and corrosion in hard to-reach areas.
  • Power Transmission :
Inspecting transmission towers and distribution infrastructure without risking human lives becomes possible with the use of drones.
  • Solar Energy :
Use of drones comes to aid to capture in-depth infrared signatures and hot spots of defective panels accurately to improve operating efficiency.
  • Wind Energy :
Getting in-depth analysis of blades, nacelle and towers at lowered operation costs & time becomes possible with the use of drones.
